I read in an Amazon review that the Revo cables do not work. I looked into getting an extension cable but I couldn't find anything that works. The camera cable is permanently attached to the camera, and limited to 30 feet in length. You need to do some research before deciding if this is right for you, for a number of reasons: I could have bought a classic 4 camera DVR system, but I knew I'd be much happier having a single app/location to view my camera feeds. When I started looking into external cameras, it was only logical that I get the outdoor camera. I already owned two SNH-1011N smartcams (which I received as gifts) and had them scattered throughout the house.

If you're starting from 0 and want to install a security camera system, I would not recommend this unless you look into the whole smartcam line of products. (plus I have loads of other suggestions for them!) The speaker/microphone is fantastic (despite the inevitable time-lag of a few seconds), and got a hoot surprising my niece and her friends, making sure they know that Big Brother is always watching! Overall, this is a great, highly-recommended, easy to set up and add on system, and the perfect solution after looking at LOADS of other options! (This nudged out the DropCam because of the all-weather outdoor model quite nice!) So.this isn't Samsung's "fault," but it would be nice if they gave some sort of other option for larger storage. So, I'd like to be able to do my own cloud-storage, but since this is a highly-profitable scheme these days, I don't think that will ever be an option, and we'll have to deal with it more.

I'd rather pay full price once, and not be tied down.
After giving up on an older, wired system, I am pleasantly surprised and pleased by the amazing video quality of the Samsung cameras! (Also have the indoor versions great!) Great HD video cool iPhone app that give quick, easy access to the cameras very easy to set up nice to have all of the units for my house viewable via one app! My only complaints are actually suggestions, most of which could be implemented with software (not even firmware) updates! Need to be able to rotate image better/more efficient way to review footage (a competing brand has a great time-lapse-overlay method that is cool and highly effective) easier to record.for me the onboard memory card hasn't been figured out yet and finally.I'm not a fan of ANY type of monthly-billing, as so many software/hardware/apps/etc.
